Treadwin's Today screen: 18 of 30 minutes walked today, 96 of 150 minutes this week, a 12-day streak, and the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim trail 42% done with Phantom Ranch 3.9 miles away.

Hands on the keyboard, steps off the record.

You walked for an hour while you worked. Then you open Apple Health and the walk is barely there.

Treadwin takes the numbers straight from your treadmill’s display, the one source that never misses a step of the walk.

Built for the walk you already do.

Duration, speed and incline, then save. Distance fills itself in and stays editable. One tap on Flat, Same as last time or a program preset covers most walks. No Bluetooth pairing and no treadmill account, so it works with any walking pad or under desk treadmill.

The Log a walk sheet: 45 minutes, 2.4 mph, 0% incline, 1.80 miles filled in automatically, 179 kcal and 4,043 estimated steps, with Flat, Same as last time and 12-3-30 presets.

Saved to Apple Health as an Indoor Walk

Every walk becomes an Indoor Walk workout with its distance, active calories, elevation and, if you want them, estimated steps. Treadwin writes each walk once and updates it when you edit it, so nothing shows up twice.

  • Your desk walks finally show up in Apple Health, with the distance you actually walked.
  • Treadwin can read your weight from Apple Health to keep calories accurate, only if you allow it.

Same walk, same formula. Only the incline changes.

Treadwin estimates calories with the ACSM walking equation from the American College of Sports Medicine. It uses your speed, incline, time and weight, so a flat walk and an incline walk are counted the same honest way.

That is the 12-3-30 workout. And flat walking adds up too: 150 minutes a week at 2.5 mph is about 610 kcal and 6.3 miles for the same person.

Questions

Anything else? The support page has more answers and a way to reach us.

Does Treadwin connect to my treadmill or walking pad?

No. There is no Bluetooth pairing and no treadmill account. You enter what your treadmill display shows (duration, speed and incline) and Treadwin does the rest, which takes about five seconds. That is also why it works with any walking pad or treadmill.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. Treadwin works on iPhone on its own. Your walks are saved to Apple Health, where any other app you use can see them.

I have a flat walking pad. Is Treadwin for me?

Yes. Most walking pads are flat, and Treadwin is built for them first. Trails such as the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim advance with distance, so every flat walk counts in full, and programs like Japanese Interval Walking and Desk Walk Zone 2 need no incline.

How does Treadwin calculate calories?

With the ACSM walking equation, the standard formula from the American College of Sports Medicine. It uses your speed, incline, duration and body weight. The result is an estimate, not a lab measurement, and it is not medical advice.

Why does Apple Health show fewer calories than Treadwin?

Apple Health counts only active calories, the extra energy you burn by moving. Treadwin shows your total burn for the walk, which also includes what your body uses at rest. Same walk, two ways to count it.

Will my walks show up twice in Apple Health?

Treadwin saves each walk once, as an Indoor Walk workout, and editing a walk updates that workout instead of adding a new one. If your treadmill’s own app also writes to Apple Health, you may want to turn that off so the same walk is not recorded by two apps.

Miles or kilometres?

Both. Treadwin works in imperial (miles, feet, pounds, mph) or metric (kilometres, metres, kilograms, km/h). You pick one during setup and can switch in Settings at any time; your saved walks never change.

How much does Treadwin cost?

Treadwin needs a subscription. The annual plan starts with 3 days free, then costs $34.90 a year (about $0.67 a week). The weekly plan costs $7.99 a week, with no free trial. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows the price in your currency.

How do I cancel?

In your iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Treadwin. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends and you will not be charged again. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. There is no Treadwin account. Your Apple Health data is never used for advertising and never shared. The privacy policy explains the details.

Is Treadwin on Android?

Not for now. Treadwin is an iPhone app.

Your next walk counts.

Treadwin is coming to iPhone. Under desk treadmill, walking pad or incline treadmill, every minute of the walk counts.
